Chapter Ninety-Seven: Service Center
Li Yanhe heard the Crown Prince, Li Hanwen, and gave him a cool, sidelong look. In that instant, the two of them had a brief but sharp clash.
When Lin Miaomiao saw Li Yanhe and Crown Prince Li Hanwen at each other like that, she could not help twitching at the corners of her mouth and said to Li Yanhe, “Didn’t you have something to discuss today?”
With a smile, she went on, “Then hurry up and go to the study to work. No need to stay here with me. I can just sit at the kitchen door by myself.”
After she spoke, she heard Li Zheng, fanning himself beside them, say, “What important business could they possibly have? They’re only here to see you.”
Hearing Li Zheng’s words, Lin Miaomiao lifted her brows and asked them, “Is that so?”
Li Zheng nodded. “After all, you’re a little God of Wealth. If they come by, maybe they’ll spot some business opportunity.”
Lin Miaomiao’s lips curved prettily at that, and she said to them, “If it’s business you want to talk, then that’s welcome.”
Afterward, she turned to Li Zheng and the others and said, “Come on, let’s go to the study.”
Li Yanhe’s mouth twitched when he heard her, and then Lin Miaomiao took out in the study the blackboard she had prepared for Lin Langluan and Lin Langze.
Right then, all Lin Miaomiao could think about was that this year she might actually land an order. In her eyes, that was nothing but piles of shining silver.
She said to them, “My processing workshop welcomes orders from everyone. If you want to place one, you can jump the queue through me in advance.”
Then, her eyes bright, she added, “If you want to become a franchisee, we can provide franchise services as well.”
After Lin Miaomiao finished speaking, Li Yanhe could not help sighing at the sight of her like this.
Crown Prince Li Hanwen and the others listened as Lin Miaomiao spoke. Li Hanwen raised a brow and asked, “Can that hotpot seasoning of yours be sold too?”
Lin Miaomiao answered, “The Lin Family Processing Workshop has it all. You can just place an order directly.”
Then she said, “Coincidentally, I’m also planning to open a shop in the capital soon. When the time comes, just send someone over with the deposit.”
As she finished, she smiled and nodded.
The Fourth Prince, Li Deren, rolled his eyes and asked her, “Can anyone buy it?”
Hearing Li Deren’s question, Lin Miaomiao nodded and said, “What I sell to you is all at the same price. How you run your business is your own affair.”
“The things I sell are definitely good quality at a fair price, because what I do is wholesale. I sell in bulk, so my prices are very low.”
“After you buy them, you can set the retail price in your shops according to market conditions, or any other factors.”
“Of course, you can also commission us to do other kinds of processing, such as changing the bottles used for packaging.”
“Or you can go all the way with custom work: hand over the packaging you’ve prepared in advance, and we’ll only charge the cost of materials and a small processing fee.”
Lin Miaomiao explained everything in simple terms, and the people present were all shrewd enough to understand exactly what she meant.
After she finished, Lin Miaomiao stood up and said, “We’ll only apply packaging with our product mark onto the bottles themselves.”
“What is a product mark? It’s just the name of our brand. But since the bottles you use are custom-made, the price will naturally be different.”
After speaking with a smile, Lin Miaomiao let a pleasant smile linger on her lips.
Crown Prince Li Hanwen stood up and said to her, “Your Highness truly is a clever woman, unlike the ordinary ladies out there.”
Lin Miaomiao nodded at his praise and said, “Please don’t praise me so lavishly. I’m in business; how could I drive customers away?”
Watching those people leave, Lin Miaomiao could feel the undercurrents of rivalry and hidden maneuvering among them. She glanced at Li Yanhe.
Seeing her like that, Li Yanhe was a little worried about her. Lin Miaomiao shook her head at him and said, “Does that count as me getting dragged in because of you?”
Li Yanhe heard her and nodded. “In this world, those who appear to be truly moderate are often not moderate at all.”
Lin Miaomiao laughed at that and said, “Winter is almost here, and we’ll be leaving soon.”
After saying that, she looked up at Li Yanhe and said faintly, “Once we leave, all the turmoil and struggle here will actually have little to do with us anymore.”
Li Yanhe heard her, and with some ache in his heart, he pulled her into his arms. Looking at the young girl before him, he said, “All right. Then I’ll make sure we get back as soon as possible.”
These past few days, Lin Miaomiao had been busy with the shop openings, and the new shops had finally begun operating normally. She had also converted the accounts in Li Yanhe’s princely residence into modern ledgers.
Because of the differences of this era, she had reformed the account books as well, making them much simpler to keep.
That day, Lin Miaomiao’s dessert shop finally opened its doors. The thing she had dreamed of for two lifetimes was finally about to come true.
When the noble ladies of the capital heard that Lin Miaomiao had opened a shop called Encounter, they all came to have a look.
Once inside, those ladies ordered milk tea and bought desserts.
Some even sat there drinking black tea. There were also plenty of amusements in the shop: Monopoly, Gomoku, and more.
It was obvious that the place had become a popular spot for ladies to check in. What’s more, the prices were not high, so even sheltered young women could afford to spend there.
Looking at the day’s sales, Lin Miaomiao smiled and patted Chunhua and the others.
Her little food stall selling braised snacks was doing very well too, and Lin Miaomiao was genuinely pleased.
Before long, word of the two new shops she had opened in the capital reached the ears of the nobility.
With her shops doing so well, and her prices set relatively low, plus the fact that the goods coming out of Lin Miaomiao’s processing workshop already had a certain market, her business was thriving.
So Lin Miaomiao opened a shop in the capital called the Lin Family Processing Workshop Service Center.
She opened the shop specifically for the noble families of the capital, so they could order raw materials from her. Lin Miaomiao had Lin Jiwang come over to take charge of this work.
After Lin Miaomiao brought Lin Jiwang to the shop and worked with him there for a while, he very quickly mastered her methods.
