In the dense mountain forest, a rough dirt trench had been carved out, transforming the area into a kind of Mediterranean basin.

Lozu stood within it, glancing around. The mountainous terrain was uneven, with yellow earth and black mud churned up and mixed together, looking sparse and uneven. Stepping down, one could feel that between the yellow and black earth, there was also a murky, viscous slime mixed in.

“It’s like a giant slug,” Lozu murmured, as an invisible layer of energy surged around him, pushing away the yellow earth, black mud, and the viscous mixture.

This layer of energy had always been present, but previously it clung just an inch from his skin. Now, Lozu expanded it outward three feet from his body.

That was why the loose yellow-black soil was pushed away like waves.

As Lozu walked, he plowed ahead, carving out a narrow path nine feet wide.

Yet after traveling a whole mile, he found nothing unusual beneath the soil.

But then a thought occurred to him: “That creature’s surface could block my divine perception. Could it have also left something within this soil layer that blocks my divine sense?”

Naturally, Lozu’s gaze fell upon the yellow-black loose soil at his feet, where a viscous liquid shimmered faintly.

Seeing this, Lozu raised his hand and pushed against the air.

In an instant, the soil was pushed aside as if a gust had swept through it, scattering the loosened earth along the empty dirt path winding between the mountain ridges. From front to back, the soil was pushed away to a depth of ten yards, revealing the solid bedrock beneath.

After turning over so much loose earth, Lozu used his naked eye to spot numerous milky-white fleshy spheres, about the size of millet grains, embedded in the yellow-black soil.

The scene reminded him of childhood memories, rolling sticky rice balls in yellow sugar powder.

“What are these... eggs?” Lozu muttered, bringing one of the fleshy spheres before him.

This single sphere was nearly ten feet tall, forcing Lozu to look upward at it.

He scrutinized it closely, but even his divine sight could not penetrate inside; its contents remained a mystery.

After examining it, Lozu directly stored one inside his spatial vessel.

Then...

Manipulate the workings of fate! Activate!

Within the “Celestial Realm,” the egg suddenly leaped, its shell shedding itself and breaking into fragments that piled beside it.

The true form of the egg was revealed: a mass of black viscous slime.

A surging vitality radiated from within.

Then, like petals scattered by a celestial maiden, the viscous slime dispersed into the air, revealing the “yolk” inside—a small curled-up fish-like monster, though not in its current form, but its former self.

What was happening?

Lozu was puzzled. He extracted the small fish monster and used the workings of fate to catalyze its growth.

Spiritual energy from the “Celestial Realm” flowed into the little fish.

The creature began to stretch its body, gradually lengthening and growing larger.

After three quarters of an hour, it reached thirty feet in length.

Then it died.

To be precise, it had died earlier.

Its size had reached the limit of the “Celestial Realm” and could no longer be sustained, resulting in death.

After death, it ceased growing, maintaining its current size.

Yet even having grown this large, it showed no sign of transforming into the present fish monster’s appearance, instead remaining in its previous form.

But Lozu would not waste this opportunity; he proceeded to dissect the small fish monster’s corpse.

Its cause of death was the same mysterious fate as other beasts trapped within spatial vessels.

For comparison, Lozu collected another fish monster egg.

Repeating the procedure, he attempted to induce it to grow into its current fish monster form by manipulating the workings of fate.

I underestimated the flu—it can relapse. I had a fever again and dizziness. Everyone, please be careful. Dress warmly, drink plenty of boiled water, wear masks—take care, truly.
