Xing Tiankai was unceremoniously dumped onto the ground. Two of the henchmen immediately set upon him with a flurry of punches and kicks. Xing Tiankai wailed in agony.

"Ah! Godfather, why are you beating me? What did I do wrong?"

Li Hu ignored him completely, ordering his men to keep beating him. Only when Xing Tiankai had been battered into a pulp, his face swollen like a pig’s and blood spilling from his mouth, did Li Hu finally call a halt. Xing Tiankai lay on the floor like a dying dog.

"Why am I beating you? You damn near got me killed! Do you have any idea who you offended? To settle a grudge for you, I nearly dragged the entire Wei-Hu Gang into the abyss," Chen Hu said viciously.

Xing Tiankai wheezed, "Han Yang is nothing but bottom-tier trash. Why should you be afraid of him?"

"Shut your damn mouth! He is no piece of trash; he is a titan with reach that touches the heavens. You are the trash, and you aren't even qualified to know his true identity. From this moment on, our relationship is severed. Do not call me godfather ever again. If it weren't for the sake of the Xing family, I’d kill you right here. Also, remember this: you had better restore your partnership with Jiang Ruoxi immediately, or I will not let you off."

Having delivered this ultimatum, Chen Hu turned and strode away, followed by his henchmen. Before leaving, they each landed another kick on Xing Tiankai.

Xing Tiankai lay motionless on the floor, spitting out blood-stained saliva. He had never imagined in his wildest dreams that Han Yang could be a man of such stature—a figure so formidable that even Chen Hu feared him. Han Yang must have inflicted massive losses on the Wei-Hu Gang for Chen Hu to be this enraged. Fortunately, Chen Hu hadn't killed him. He had narrowly managed to cling to his miserable life.

Soon, two nurses entered the ward. Seeing Xing Tiankai on the floor, they rushed to help him up. Discovering he had been beaten, one of them immediately went to find a doctor.

Meanwhile, at Jiang Ruoxi’s company, Jiang Ruoxi was still fretting over the situation. Since Han Yang had crippled Xing Tiankai, she was certain he would no longer cooperate with her. With the loss of her raw material supplier, she would have to find someone new. Furthermore, she feared Chen Hu would not let them go. These two issues weighed heavily on her mind.

Song Yuqi, standing nearby, was equally at a loss. She had already asked her grandfather to intervene, but there had been no results yet. Just then, Song Yuqi’s phone rang. She looked at the screen; it was her grandfather.

"Hello? Grandpa, how did it go?"

"I spoke with Chen Hu over the phone. He told me the matter is already resolved. He kept apologizing throughout the call, and his attitude was extremely sincere."

Song Yuqi was shocked. "Grandpa, you’re amazing! You settled it with just one phone call?"

"It wasn't me. Someone else must have already resolved the issue. Chen Hu’s tone was not only sincere but also carried a hint of lingering fear. He must have suffered a major setback, which is why he decided not to pursue this matter further."

Song Yuqi frowned. "So that’s it. I thought you were the one who fixed it."

"Hahaha, it wasn't me. Regardless of who handled it, as long as it’s resolved, that’s what matters. You girls should stop provoking the Wei-Hu Gang in the future."

"Got it, Grandpa."

After chatting for a while, Song Yuqi hung up. Jiang Ruoxi asked anxiously, "Is it settled?"

"Yes, but it wasn't my grandfather who did it. It was someone else. Could it have been Han Yang?"

"Han Yang shouldn't have that kind of capability, right?"

Song Yuqi replied, "If it wasn't Han Yang, then who could it be?"

Jiang Ruoxi didn't respond, lost in deep thought. Just then, her phone rang. It was from the Xing Group. The caller informed her that they would continue their partnership with her and that the shipment of raw materials would be delivered to the company this afternoon.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ruoxi was ecstatic. Moments ago, she had been worrying about both problems, but now they were both resolved—a truly happy ending.

Song Yuqi said, "I’ll ask Han Yang and see if he was the one who pulled it off."

With that, Song Yuqi took out her phone and dialed Han Yang’s number. He answered quickly.

"Hello?"

"Han Yang, my grandfather told me that Chen Hu is no longer pursuing the matter, and the Xing Group called to say they’re continuing their partnership with Ruoxi. Did you resolve these two issues?"

Han Yang replied, "Yes. Chen Hu sent some people to cause trouble for me last night. I dealt with them, they admitted defeat, and the matter was settled."

"Wow, Han Yang, you’re so incredible! I’m absolutely in awe of you."

"Heh, it’s not that big of a deal; it was just a small matter to me," Han Yang said modestly.

Song Yuqi continued, "Do you have time for lunch? Ruoxi and I would like to treat you to a meal."

"I do. Where should we go?"

"Let’s go to the Lion Pavilion. We’ll meet you there."

"Sounds good!"

After reaching an agreement, Song Yuqi hung up. Jiang Ruoxi asked again, "Was it really Han Yang who handled it?"

"Yes, he admitted it himself."

"I can't believe this guy is so capable!" Jiang Ruoxi exclaimed, looking baffled.

Song Yuqi said, "This just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. Han Yang is a martial artist, so he must have some skills. It’s only natural that Chen Hu would give him some face."

Jiang Ruoxi didn't say anything, just nodded. It seemed Han Yang wasn't as useless as she thought. If that was the case, why did Gu Shuyao divorce him? Should she give him a chance?

Jiang Ruoxi immediately stopped her wandering thoughts. She couldn't let herself give him a chance just because he resolved this incident, nor could she let him recognize Jiang Youyou. This guy had caused her enough misery; she absolutely could not afford to be soft-hearted. Besides, Han Yang wasn't her type. No matter what, she could never let him know that Jiang Youyou was his son. She would take this secret to the grave.

Later, Jiang Ruoxi and Song Yuqi prepared to head to the Lion Pavilion to meet Han Yang. Just as they were about to leave, the office door was pushed open. Hu Yuan walked in, holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Yuqi, you’re here too!"

Song Yuqi rolled her eyes. "Why are you here?"

"I came to explain. That night, I really didn't intend to steal the credit from Han Yang. I was just worried he wouldn't be able to handle Xing Tiankai and feared he’d be implicated, so I claimed I was the one who saved you," Hu Yuan said with a look of extreme sincerity.

Song Yuqi sneered, "Is that really what you think?"

"Of course, I swear it."

Song Yuqi offered a playful look but didn't respond. She knew Hu Yuan was a hypocrite who said one thing while doing another. Everything he just said was nonsense. He had clearly wanted to steal Han Yang's glory so Jiang Ruoxi would mistakenly believe he was the savior, hoping she would be grateful and throw herself into his arms.

Jiang Ruoxi interjected, "Alright, it’s not a big deal. Let’s not dwell on it; let’s just let this matter rest."

Hu Yuan immediately presented the roses. "Ruoxi, these are for you. I picked them out specifically for you."

Jiang Ruoxi didn't say anything, simply taking the flowers and tossing them aside.

Hu Yuan continued, "Don't worry, I will do everything in my power to help you resolve this crisis. Believe me, I can definitely do it."

"You don't need to help anymore. Han Yang has already resolved it," Song Yuqi said expressionlessly.

"What? Han Yang already resolved it?"

"Yes, and we’re on our way to treat him to lunch!"

Hu Yuan felt a bitter taste in his mouth. He had assumed the Wei-Hu Gang would take care of Han Yang, but he hadn't expected Han Yang to solve the problem himself. Damn it, what a mess. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.

Jiang Ruoxi added, "We’re leaving for lunch now, you..."

"I’ll go with you. My treat," Hu Yuan said hurriedly.

Jiang Ruoxi didn't object; if he wanted to come along, so be it. Song Yuqi, however, was unhappy. Nothing good would come of this guy tagging along.

The three of them went to the basement garage and drove to the Lion Pavilion. The Lion Pavilion was located in the bustling city center and was a very famous Chinese restaurant in Pengcheng. Tourists always made it a point to visit.

When they arrived, Han Yang was already standing at the entrance. Seeing Hu Yuan following them, his expression darkened. *Why did this guy have to come along?*

"Han Yang, sorry to keep you waiting," Song Yuqi said with a smile.

"It’s fine, I just got here. But it looks like it’s full; we might have to wait for a table."

"Then we’ll wait a little while," Song Yuqi replied.

Hu Yuan, however, acted with an air of arrogance. "With me here, there’s no need to wait. I know the owner of this restaurant; we can go straight to the VIP room, the 'Heavenly One'."

With that, Hu Yuan walked into the restaurant with his hands behind his back. Han Yang and the two women followed behind. Han Yang wore a mocking expression. *This guy is trying to show off in front of the two beauties again. Let’s see what kind of act he puts on today.*

Hu Yuan did indeed know the owner. As it happened, the guests in the 'Heavenly One' room had just finished their meal and were preparing to leave, so the owner let them have the room.

Once inside, Hu Yuan began ordering, choosing only the most expensive items. He boasted loudly that the meal was on him and told them to eat to their hearts' content. Han Yang and the two women ignored him, busy with their phones.

When the food and wine arrived, they ate and chatted. Jiang Ruoxi raised her glass and said, "Han Yang, I’d like to toast you. Thank you for helping us resolve this trouble."

"I’ll toast you too. Thank you so much. If it weren't for you, this situation would have been very difficult," Song Yuqi added, raising her glass as well.

Han Yang laughed, "It’s a small matter, don't be so formal."

The three of them clinked glasses and drank. Hu Yuan felt extremely disgruntled watching them. They were treating him like air. The relationship between Jiang Ruoxi, Song Yuqi, and Han Yang was getting better and better. If he didn't do something soon, he would be completely sidelined. The thought made him feel frustrated. He had known them for so long, yet they were being so attentive to Han Yang after barely knowing him. He had to use this opportunity to turn the tables.

Hu Yuan asked, feigning casualness, "Han Yang, was it really you who handled the Wei-Hu Gang and made Chen Hu stop chasing us?"

"Otherwise? Who else could it be?" Han Yang retorted.
