Chapter 6: Jiang Youyou Seeks Help
Everyone was taken aback by the scene.
Li Tao’s assistant was showing such respect to this young man.
And he even had the authority to meet Li Tao himself—what exactly was his identity?
Han Yang turned to Anna and said, “That tall security guard at the door is extremely rude. I wonder if he had any training before starting his job.”
Anna quickly responded, “All the security guards undergo training before taking their posts.”
“Even after training, he’s still so disrespectful. The security team at the entrance represents the company’s image. Having someone like him there is a disgrace to the Bai Sha Consortium. Fire him immediately,” Han Yang said sternly.
“Understood, Mr. Han,” Anna replied, then turned to the tall guard and announced, “You are officially dismissed. Pack your things and leave immediately.”
The tall security guard was stunned on the spot.
These guards had all been carefully selected.
To be fired just days after starting—what kind of status did this young man have?
He actually had the authority to order around the CEO’s assistant.
Han Yang glanced once more at the tall guard before turning his back and walking away, with Anna following closely.
As soon as they left, the entrance erupted into a flurry of whispers.
Everyone was discussing Han Yang’s identity.
The remaining guards immediately straightened up, no longer daring to be careless.
Soon, Anna led Han Yang to Li Tao’s office.
Seeing them, Li Tao hurried forward with a respectful greeting, “Boss, you’re here!”
Han Yang responded with a grunt.
Li Tao then said to Anna, “You may step out now.”
“All right,” Anna said, turning to leave.
“Please have a seat, Boss,” Li Tao invited.
Once seated, Han Yang said, “I’ve come with two tasks for you.”
“Please tell me. I will do my utmost to complete them for you,” Li Tao assured.
Han Yang continued, “First, keep a close eye on Gu’s Pharmaceutical. If their person in charge comes to the company requesting investment, you must agree immediately and notify me at once. I’ll guide you on what to do next.”
“All right, I will monitor closely.”
“Second, I need your help finding someone.”
“Who are you looking for?” Li Tao asked.
Han Yang sighed, “I don’t even know her surname or given name, or where she is. I have no information about her.”
Li Tao was momentarily dumbfounded.
How could Han Yang expect to find someone without even knowing her name?
“Boss, this is…” he began.
Han Yang looked at Li Tao and explained, “Four years ago, when I returned from the overseas headquarters, I was poisoned. After landing, the poison suddenly took effect and I collapsed by the roadside. This poison causes the pure yang energy in my body to surge uncontrollably. If I don’t have intercourse with a woman, my tendons and vessels will rupture, and I will die.”
“I remember it clearly—I collapsed by the roadside, and a woman approached, asking about my condition. In a daze, I pulled her into a nearby alley and had relations with her. She saved me from the poison. Since then, I never saw her again. Now I want to find her to repay her life-saving kindness.”
Li Tao frowned.
Though Han Yang had provided some details, they were still not very useful.
Besides, it had been four years.
Looking for someone in such a vast population was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
After a moment’s thought, Li Tao asked, “Do you remember the place where you passed out?”
“Yes, I do. It was at 68 Shuangtang Street, Bowang District, Pengcheng City. Opposite the alley is a supermarket.”
“Good. I’ll order my team to start looking for clues right away.”
Han Yang said, “I know it’s very difficult to find this woman. After all, four years have passed. If it were recent, we could review nearby surveillance footage, but now that’s impossible. Do your best to find any witnesses. If you can’t, then we’ll have to give up.”
Han Yang’s heart was burning with anger.
If the Gu family hadn’t deceived him for four whole years, he wouldn’t be in this position now, searching for the woman who saved him back then.
He was determined to make Gu Shuyao pay the price.
Besides Gu Shuyao, Han Yang also planned to bring down Gu’s Pharmaceutical.
He had secretly helped Gu Shuyao establish the company.
Without him, Gu’s Pharmaceutical wouldn’t exist.
Now that he and Gu Shuyao were divorced, he must personally destroy Gu’s Pharmaceutical.
“Boss, rest assured, I will do my best to help find her.”
Han Yang nodded silently.
Li Tao then asked, “May I ask if you intend to work at the company?”
“For now, no. I don’t want to get involved in company affairs. I’ll leave everything to you. If anything happens, contact headquarters or inform me. If I decide to work here later, I’ll let you know.”
“All right, understood.”
Then Li Tao showed Han Yang around the branch office.
The entire Empire Tower was now Bai Sha Consortium territory.
The news of Bai Sha Consortium establishing a branch in Pengcheng quickly spread throughout the city.
That explained why so many influential figures had come to visit Li Tao earlier.
They hoped to secure investment from Li Tao and hitch a ride on the Consortium’s booming success.
Bai Sha Consortium ranked among the world’s top five conglomerates.
Its funds were vast enough to rival small nations.
Any enterprise associated with Bai Sha Consortium would rise rapidly.
After the tour, Han Yang left the company.
He took a taxi back to Fengming Garden.
Once home, he began washing vegetables and cooking—he was about to live alone from now on.
After lunch, Han Yang planned to take a nap.
Around two in the afternoon, his phone rang and woke him.
It was an unfamiliar number.
“Hello, who is this?”
“Uncle Han Yang, it’s Jiang Youyou!” came a childish voice from the other end.
Han Yang was surprised. “Youyou, how did you get my number?”
“I saw it in Mom’s phone and saved it to my watch.”
Han Yang smiled, “You’re quite clever. Do you need something from Uncle?”
“Uncle Han Yang, the kids at kindergarten say I don’t have a dad. They call me a bastard and bully me. Can you come pretend to be my dad? I want them to know I have a dad and that I’m not a bastard.”
Han Yang’s heart ached. “Does your mom know about this?”
“She does, but she can’t do anything. I just got bullied. Can you come over?”
Han Yang hesitated for a moment, then agreed.
He asked for Jiang Youyou’s kindergarten address.
Youyou told him it was Sunshine Private Kindergarten.
Han Yang was familiar with this place.
It was an elite kindergarten, where the children were all from wealthy or noble families.
Ordinary kids had no chance of admission.
After noting the address, Han Yang left and took a taxi to Sunshine Private Kindergarten.
About half an hour later, he arrived.
Getting out of the taxi, Han Yang walked toward the entrance.
He saw two women talking there.
One was a teacher named Xu Li.
“You Jiang Youyou is really too much, even scratching a classmate’s face. This must be dealt with seriously. If necessary, have Jiang Ruoxi come here to explain,” Xu Li said with a frown.
“Sorry, Teacher Xu, please calm down. Our Miss will make sure Youyou is properly disciplined,” said the speaker, Song Lingling, Jiang Ruoxi’s nanny.
