Chapter 147: Eradicating the Child of Destiny

"What kind of person are you?" Mars asked, feeling the overwhelming aura radiating from the other person, with not the slightest intention of fighting him.

A Tier 3 Fate Spirit Master!

In such a chaotic moment, a Tier 3 Fate Spirit Master had actually run over to snatch something from him. Were Tier 3 Fate Spirit Masters really so worthless?

The giant beast took a step forward and rudely grabbed him by the shoulder, lifting him up as easily as if he were a chick.

He heard the person state expressionlessly, "Will you hand it over voluntarily, or shall I kill you and take it myself?"

"I suppose I have no choice... Respected sir, take everything, and please spare my life!" Mars said with a bitter smile, honestly pulling a box the size of an instant noodle pack from his bosom.

He was merely a Tier 2 Fate Spirit Master; trying to fight a genuine Tier 3 was pure suicide!

Begging for mercy like this might give him a glimmer of survival.

Charles reached out, took it, opened it, and saw a series of projection stones resting quietly inside. Tucking it into a close-fitting pocket at his waist, he continued to ask, "Which faction do you belong to?"

The only reason he didn't finish this person off was that the man in front of him happened to be the short, chubby fellow who had worked alongside him for the past two days—considered one of his few acquaintances.

Even during their work earlier, Charles's extraordinary psychic power had failed to detect that the other person was actually an undercover spy. That disguise was truly formidable.

"I am an overseas station personnel subordinate to the Security Management Department of the Harrison Empire. I received orders to enter Molent three years ago, and then, due to my outstanding abilities, I entered the Central Laboratory to work."

Under the guidance of Charles's psychic power, the man regarded him as his closest confidant, unwittingly exposing his deepest secret.

"The Empire's Security Management Department... Quite impressive, having people even in Molent." Charles recalled the person he had met earlier in Storm Harbor, not expecting to encounter someone from this department across the ocean in Molent.

It seemed that the power wielded by this department far exceeded his expectations, on par with organizations like the Dragon Group from his memories.

He raised an eyebrow and continued, "Explain the power hierarchy of the Security Department."

"The Security Department has one general director and five branch directors. Positions are determined by strength, and a branch director is at minimum a peak Tier 3 Fate Spirit Master. It is said that apart from the general director, the entire department still has one Tier 4 invincible powerhouse."

Two Tier 4 powerhouses—this represented two Calamity Divine Beasts!

Most importantly, the royal family of the Harrison Empire possessed at least two Calamity Divine Beasts as well. Counting the dormant Calamity Divine Beasts, the entire empire likely had at least six!

With no other choice, human Fate Spirit Masters had very short lifespans, but Calamity Divine Beasts could inherit power through homologous bloodlines, existing for over five hundred years.

Although they remained dormant most of the time, they ultimately possessed terrifying strength.

Since the Harrison Empire was already like this, the Lorensas Empire wouldn't be much weaker, at most having its royal power seized by those ancient nobles.

This was the heritage of the two major empires!

At the beginning of the war, the two empires fought entirely on their own, yet they were able to firmly hold back countless radiation monsters.

The Calamity Divine Beasts slaughtered countless radiation monsters, creating an extremely horrifying slaughterhouse that stained the entire earth red, which in turn spawned even more terrifying and bizarre radiation creatures.

Right now, however, Charles had no intention of confronting the two major empires. He only wanted to return as quickly as possible, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the first wave of source energy tide to capture Storm Harbor in one fell swoop, build it into his own base, and mobilize countless manpower to prepare for the cataclysmic war that would sweep the world in the future.

"Alright, you may go now." Charles spared the man's life for the sake of their past collegial ties, but ruthlessly erased the man's memories of meeting him and left a faint psychic imprint deep within his mind.

When his psychic power grew even stronger in the future, he could completely use this backup measure to control the other person, thereby turning him into his own chess piece within the Empire's Security Department.

………………

Rumble!

Under continuous violent attacks, one supporting pillar after another was shattered, walls were covered in holes like spider webs, and the massive dome of the Central Laboratory finally could no longer bear the weight and completely crashed down.

Most of the people present had already fled; no one dared to linger during the battle among the four top Tier 3 powerhouses. Those injured individuals who had fallen to the ground were long since crushed into pulp, their protective spiritual radiance as fragile as paper!

Bang!

From beneath the crashing dome, Leslie leaped out with a thunderous roar. The pressure of the dome, weighing hundreds or thousands of tons, was dispersed, leaving him completely unharmed.

The hard stones merely ruined his clothing, turning it into a ragged, hole-filled outfit, but the skin underneath only showed faint white marks, failing to break his defense at all.

On the other side, the Feathered Serpent God also smashed through massive boulders one after another, flapping its wings and hovering in the air.

"Haha, I didn't expect that after just over a day, you could improve so quickly. Simply fascinating!" Isaac laughed wildly, suddenly leaping into the air and landing on the head of the Feathered Serpent God.

"Let me show you my ultimate ability—Bloom, Flower of Destruction!"

Black flowers the size of washbasins materialized out of thin air, wreathed in black aura. They were pure black, their layers of petals forming concentric black rings, and right in the center of the pistil was a tiny mouth.

As the flowers bloomed, they densely formed a massive net that surrounded Leslie, followed by a silent, soundless annihilation.

This annihilation seemed to swallow everything, consuming even the air and light, leaving behind only black traces in their original place.

Boom!

Leslie's expression was devoid of sorrow or joy, and faint points of brilliance surfaced on his grey scales, making his entire body radiate explosive energy as if he were burning.

A punch!

With a single punch thrown by him, the air within dozens of meters in front of him was violently blasted away, creating a terrifying vacuum zone.

A massive gale blew stones weighing hundreds of pounds, and countless small stones were swept up entirely, colliding with the petals of the black flowers!

The black flowers collided with the stones, both annihilating silently. Boulders quietly vanished, melted into liquid, and then instantly sublimated.

As the two top-tier abilities clashed, all the remaining buildings around them were utterly pulverized, and not a single stone larger than a fist could be found anywhere nearby.

A moment later, the smoke cleared, and strange black flames burned upon the ground.

Isaac stood securely atop the Feathered Serpent God's head, his eyes filled with frenzied joy. "Impressive! Having endured my strongest strike and still not dying, I truly haven't chosen the wrong opponent."

Below him, Leslie stood upright, but black marks had appeared all over his body, covering him almost entirely.

These injuries were extremely bizarre. Not a single drop of blood flowed out; chunks of flesh vanished silently, as though thoroughly burned and vaporized by something, and in some places, bare white bones could already be seen!

Yet he still did not retreat in the slightest, his gaze as cold as ever, like a machine that felt no pain.

"Pity, you are becoming slightly uncontrollable. Then go die!"

Grey-white source energy brilliance flashed before Isaac's chest, and the Feathered Serpent God beneath his feet opened its massive maw, biting down fiercely.

Boom!

A transparent giant mouth abruptly manifested above Leslie's head, splitting open to a width of five or six meters—enough to swallow him completely!

Leslie punched upward, but couldn't shake it in the least. Instead, he was pressed down onto one knee by the intensely strong force field, and the ground beneath his feet instantly shattered.

At that very moment, an identical transparent phantom abruptly appeared. A claw materialized out of nowhere and slashed across the transparent giant mouth, forcefully sending it crashing away.

Immediately following that, a twenty-meter-tall colossal beast leaped over and roared angrily at the opponent—Resonance Sonic Boom!

Awooo!

The already pulverized stones were pulverized once more, turning into powdery dust. Isaac bore the brunt of the impact, driven backward several meters by the attack, almost falling off the back of the Feathered Serpent God!

"Four Ultimate Forms. Truly a formidable opponent." Isaac licked his lips, the frenzy on his face growing even more pronounced, resembling a fanatical war-monger.

"They're just a bunch of trash totems. No matter how many you have, they're just a bunch of trash!"

He possessed only a single totem: the Feathered Serpent God. This superior-talent totem beast possessed the heaven-defying potential of super-evolution, causing him to abandon all other totems and focus entirely on cultivating this single one.

"Oh, is that so? Your totem is indeed very powerful, but mine is not much inferior to yours." Charles curved the corners of his lips with a faint, mocking expression. "You seem unaware that sometimes, sheer numbers are enough to overwhelm you!"

"Hahahaha, you are truly fascinating, mere trash Ultimate Forms. Feathered Serpent God, devour them!" Isaac laughed aloud, source energy shining brilliantly as the Feathered Serpent God beneath his feet roared for the first time.

Hiss, hiss!

A sinister and vicious sound rippled across the entire field, causing the Hunting Lion, which was preparing to launch an attack, to instantly halt its steps and collapse onto the ground in agony.

This attack turned out to be a rare spiritual assault!

"As expected of one of the most heaven-defying totems, it even possesses psychic attacks." Charles praised, standing in place without changing his expression.

It was merely a psychic attack; to him, it felt like a gentle breeze blowing past his face.

Click, click!

At that moment, Isaac abruptly felt a crisis approaching from behind. A black humanoid monster suddenly lunged at the tail of the Feathered Serpent God, opening its bloody maw and biting down fiercely!

Yet another Ultimate Form—the Bloodthirsty Werewolf!

This was the strange werewolf that Charles had subdued earlier—a monster that had failed the evolutionary potion and completely lost its humanity.

Infused with Charles's evolutionary points, it had effortlessly completed its ultimate evolution, becoming a fierce general under his command.

Bang!

The Feathered Serpent God lashed its tail violently, flinging the creature far away, but wounds had already appeared on its tail, where two rows of tooth marks had been bitten into it by the werewolf.

For the first time, it had been injured!

Hiss, hiss!

Sensing the provocation, the Feathered Serpent God let out an even more horrifying, piercing roar, but the next moment, that sound was forcibly interrupted.

Yet another monster emerged from the void—a mantis-shaped creature that lunged at it mid-air, its sharp foreclaws slicing fiercely across its mouth!

"Six!"

Charles's expression remained unchanged, but his heart was filled with fury.

No matter how powerful the Feathered Serpent God's slowing field was, it had a limit. Right now, within its slowing field—including Leslie—a total of six Ultimate Forms had finally diluted its power by more than half!

Such a heaven-defying totem must absolute not be allowed to exist!

"How can you possibly possess so many Ultimate Forms? This makes no sense!" Isaac shrieked, realizing for the first time that he seemed to have encountered a fatal crisis.

"Ahhh, go die, all of you—Ultimate Bloom, Destruction King Flower!"

The Feathered Serpent God suddenly spat out a large mouthful of golden blood, which formed a bizarre pattern in the air.

Nine massive flowers materialized out of thin air, each exceeding ten meters in diameter. They plummeted from the sky, charging toward each of the Ultimate Forms.

"Foolish fellow," Charles said indifferently as a white streak rushed over from afar.

When it landed, the figure of Firefly emerged. Purple light swirled within its eyes, transforming into brilliant purple flames that burned fiercely right at the head of the Feathered Serpent God.

This was one of Firefly's abilities, known as Psychic Fire. Using psychic power as fuel, it ignited its own psychic power to scorch the enemy's soul—a textbook example of inflicting eight hundred damage to the enemy while suffering a thousand oneself.

However, the Feathered Serpent God's defense was simply too formidable, leaving Charles with no choice but to order it to use this taboo ability.

Hiss, hiss! Hiss, hiss! Hiss, hiss!

Under the scorching of these flames, the Feathered Serpent God struggled frantically, throwing Isaac directly off its back.

One Ultimate Form after another seized the opportunity and charged forward. The mantis leaped onto its back, its sharp foreclaws fiercely slicing its wings; the Hunting Lion likewise attacked its wings, while the Moon Child grabbed its tail to prevent it from struggling free.

The five-meter-tall giant werewolf lunged at its head, biting off snake-like tentacles one by one, its claws tearing through them relentlessly.

The Burrowing Beast also lunged forward, the poisonous spike atop its head piercing fiercely into the opponent's abdomen.

With half of its psychic power burned away, Firefly activated the ability Absolute Domination once more, thoroughly terminating the opponent's resistance.

The Feathered Serpent God could no longer deploy its abilities, reduced to rolling its body frantically, yet it was utterly unable to break free from the onslaught of the six Ultimate Forms.

Right at that moment, however, a golden monkey descended, swatting the werewolf away with a single staff strike and ferociously charging at the Hunting Lion and the mantis!

"It cannot die!" Bein suddenly rushed over, forcibly blocking the attacks of several Ultimate Forms.

Charles narrowed his eyes and said softly, "No one cannot die. Having made mistakes, people must pay the price for their actions!"

By now, he had already provoked three Sons of Destiny. Since Cody and Wayne were out of reach and couldn't be hunted down for the moment, they would be set aside.

But Isaac had to die; no one could stop him!

At that moment, he abruptly felt the sky darken, endless shadows obscuring the firmament.

Charles looked up, his vision filled entirely with green.

A giant tree over a hundred meters tall pulled its roots from the earth and strode over from afar, its dense branches and leaves enveloping a radius of hundreds of meters!

The earth shook violently, as if a magnitude 8 earthquake had been triggered, forcing even Charles to shift his position to avoid a massive fissure in the ground.

He looked up and muttered, "It actually triggered its ultimate defense. This is going to be troublesome."

At that moment, Leslie abruptly stood up, his body swelling to twice its size and transforming into a giant over six meters tall. He lunged onto the Feathered Serpent God, wrapping his arms tightly around its head.

The Moon Child also lunged forward, raining blows down upon its head until it finally hammered the skull into complete explosion!

"Ah, my Feathered Serpent God, all of you must die!" Isaac let out a frantic roar.

Leslie abandoned the Feathered Serpent God, which had dissolved into countless shattering fragments, and strode toward Isaac.

"Leslie, stop right now!" Bein roared, lunging forward and slamming a fist into his leg.

His attack was immensely powerful, causing Leslie to almost drop to one knee, but Leslie didn't even spare him a glance, leaping recklessly across dozens of meters to land right in front of Isaac.

"Accompany me to the grave!"

His body exploded violently, transforming into the most dazzling and terrifying grey light that swept across a radius of over a hundred meters!
