Boss Jin’s subordinates rushed over at once, “What did you just say, you brat?”

Boss Jin, however, stretched out his arm to block them, his smile sly but not genuine. “Kid, what exactly do you mean by that?”

Shi Bai smiled, “I’m saying you guessed wrong. Does it hurt your pride?”

Boss Jin threw his head back and laughed, “Guessed wrong? You mean me?”

Shi Bai nodded with the stone in his hand, “Not only did you guess wrong, but you were way off.”

Boss Jin frowned, staring at Shi Bai for a long time as if trying to pierce through his face. Suddenly, he said, “You’re saying I guessed wrong about this stone?”

“That’s right.”

Boss Jin smiled briefly, then his face turned cold with a snort. “Fine, since you said so, let’s make a bet.”

“What kind of bet?”

Boss Jin’s smile became sinister. “If I guessed right, I’ll punch you once. If I guessed wrong, I’ll punch you three times.”

The crowd fell silent. What kind of bet was this? If he guessed right, he’d punch Shi Bai once; if he guessed wrong, three times. Clearly, this was just bullying.

But Boss Jin was not someone to be trifled with—who on this street dared cross him? So everyone glanced at Shi Bai, thinking he’d best fend for himself.

Only Boss Jin’s men were snickering.

But Shi Bai seemed utterly unconcerned. He looked at Boss Jin and suddenly raised an eyebrow, “You said that yourself?”

Everyone was startled. Of course it was Boss Jin who said it—not only did he say it, he’d likely enforce it by force. What now, was Shi Bai actually eager for it?

Boss Jin placed his hands on his hips, giving Shi Bai a strange look. “I said it—so what? Are you dissatisfied? Want me to add two more punches?”

Shi Bai weighed the stone, smiling, “No need for that. Just remember what you said.”

Boss Jin looked at his people, laughing boisterously, “You’re talking nonsense—how could I ever forget about hitting someone?”

The crowd joined in with laughter.

Shi Bai said nothing more, tossing the stone into the air. “Watch closely!”

Suddenly, he seized the stone, pulled it apart with both hands, and with a crisp snap, it broke, revealing five or six cherry-sized red gemstones.

The entire arena was silent.

Everyone’s mouth formed an O, their eyes nearly falling out.

“This… this…” Even Boss Jin was stunned.

The jade merchant’s eyes were wide with horror, staring at the stone in Shi Bai’s hands as if he’d seen ghosts, his soul nearly fleeing.

“How could there be rubies inside such a stone?”

Page 2/3

Rubies are usually sifted out in bulk from mining areas, much like panning for gold; Shi Bai’s method, extracting them directly from a stone, was truly unheard of.

Moreover, natural rubies are incredibly valuable—even more so than diamonds. Just one carat costs tens of thousands, and two carats multiply the price tenfold.

The rubies in Shi Bai’s hand were each the size of a pigeon’s egg—surely worth hundreds of millions!

“You brat!” The jade merchant suddenly snatched the stone from Shi Bai’s hand. “How dare you steal my gems!”

Everyone was taken aback. Clearly, the old man was trying to go back on the deal.

Boss Jin also snapped out of it, grabbing the stone from the jade merchant’s hand.

“Hey! How do you conduct business? Trying to take back what you’ve already sold?”

The jade merchant’s face was bitter, but his eyes gleamed as he stared at the raw stone studded with rubies, disregarding everything else and lunging at Boss Jin like a wild beast.

“Give me back my gems!”

Boss Jin dodged, raising the stone, then kicked him, “Move!”

The jade merchant was knocked to the ground, looking like a scrawny dog, but he refused to give up, scrambling up and lunging at Boss Jin again.

“Give me back my gems!”

Boss Jin’s men rushed up, raining blows and kicks on the jade merchant.

Within seconds, the jade merchant lay flat like dried meat.

Boss Jin weighed the stone in his hand, greed gleaming in his eyes. “Now I’ve struck it rich!”

He glanced at Shi Bai, his gaze burning. “Kid, you’ve got some luck, huh!” He chuckled, “Alright, for the sake of the gems, I’ll let this slide. Get lost.”

The crowd sighed, excited to see the precious gems, but also lamenting the jade merchant’s willingness to risk everything for money—and above all, lamenting Boss Jin’s ruthless plundering.

The times were less than clean; someone like Shi Bai, weak and powerless, had no option but to compromise when faced with Boss Jin, who wielded special power.

People watched Boss Jin leave, casting helpless glances at Shi Bai. But at that moment, Shi Bai spoke:

“You really did forget.”

The crowd was startled, and Boss Jin halted.

“What did you say?” He turned, narrowing his eyes at Shi Bai.

Shi Bai, hands in his pockets, tilted his head, “I reminded you earlier to remember your words—do you recall?”

Boss Jin frowned, his expression strange, “So what do you want? Let me punch you three times?”

“Exactly.”

The crowd was speechless.

“Is he insane?”

“Is this kid out of his mind?”

Boss Jin squinted, sizing up Shi Bai like a monster, but no matter how he looked, he saw nothing special. He frowned and waved his hand, and his men charged forward.

The crowd scattered in panic, but many lingered at a distance to watch.

But soon, the sound of fists and chaos filled the air, and Boss Jin’s men all lay sprawled on the ground, grimacing in pain, rolling about, clutching arms and legs.

Shi Bai alone stood, hands in pockets, proud and solitary like a crane among pigs.

“I said it was you who should hit me—sending your men doesn’t count,” Shi Bai said calmly.

Boss Jin’s pupils contracted, his expression growing grim. “Who… are you really? Why are you so strong without any internal energy?”

Shi Bai smiled lightly, “That’s not your concern. Hurry up—give me three punches.”

Boss Jin gritted his teeth, then said, “Alright! Don’t move!”

Shi Bai replied, “I promise I won’t move.”

Boss Jin’s eyes darted, then he shouted, “Here I come!” and spun around, bolting away.

The crowd nearly fell over, bursting into laughter.

“Seriously? That’s his ‘here I come’?”

“With a boss like this?”

“Unbelievable.”

Shi Bai watched Boss Jin’s fleeing figure and smiled, quietly summoning his system.

“Custom mission: Bring Boss Jin back.”

“Custom mission successful, mission initiated.”

Shi Bai stood unmoving. About a minute passed, and sure enough, Boss Jin returned, but this time he was followed by a crowd wielding clubs.

Shi Bai smiled, “Why did you come back?”

Boss Jin stopped in front of him, panting heavily. “These guys… are tougher… than you!”
