Chapter 119: A Night Raid from Yuri
Page 1/3
The spring downpour arrived suddenly and without warning. Just that afternoon, the sun was still shining brightly; in the brief moment of a distant thunderclap, torrents of rain began to pour outside the window.
The fierce wind swept the rain like a curtain, engulfing the entire East City. The lights vanished, leaving only faint, blurred neon signs flickering in the gloom.
“Looks like Anhe won’t be able to go home tonight,” a female voice suddenly came from beside him. Anhe turned his head and saw Reina Serizawa approaching with her hands behind her back, smiling cheerfully.
Noticing his gaze, Reina’s smile quickly faded, replaced by a serious cough. She pulled out her phone from behind her back, holding it up and shaking it slightly.
On the screen was a weather forecast, which clearly stated that the storm might last until around three in the morning.
“Wow, it’s going to rain that long?” Anhe exclaimed, surprised.
Seeing his reaction, Reina’s eyes twinkled mischievously, a sly grin spreading across her face as she suggested, “Why don’t you stay here tonight?”
Anhe waved his hand. “No need, it would be too much trouble for you all. I can just take a taxi home.”
“How could it be troublesome?” Reina said anxiously, stepping forward to link her arm with his and counting on her fingers. “You must have come by bike, right? If you take a taxi home, won’t your bike be left here? There are plenty of bike thieves nearby. Even if your bike is still here tomorrow morning, you’d have to take a taxi again to get it. That’s so much hassle.”
Watching her anxious expression, Anhe couldn’t help but smile. Before he could respond, a voice came from the kitchen doorway—Sayuri Serizawa, who had overheard the conversation.
“Reina’s right. Anhe, why don’t you just stay here tonight? You can leave once the rain stops in the morning.”
“Well…” Anhe glanced between Sayuri and Reina, hesitating for a moment before nodding reluctantly.
“Alright, then I’ll trouble you, Auntie.”
“How is it trouble at all?” Sayuri replied with a meaningful smile.
Since returning home was impossible, Anhe knew he had to inform the Amamiya sisters in advance. Fortunately, they understood and didn’t say much.
After hanging up, Anhe let out a deep sigh.
The rain continued relentlessly outside; the sky was dim and heavy.
Anhe only glanced once more before returning to the living room.
Due to the storm, the Serizawa house had lost power. The living room was lit only by two flickering candles.
Seeing Anhe arrive, Sayuri, who had been chatting with Reina, immediately stood up and apologized, “Sorry, Anhe. This old house always loses power during heavy rain. Please don’t mind the inconvenience.”
“No problem. My place is often the same,” Anhe replied with a casual smile and found a nearby spot to sit.
Seeing he truly didn’t mind, Sayuri nodded and sat back down.
The living room fell silent, with only the muffled sound of rain outside filling the air.
The candlelight flickered.
After a while, Sayuri seemed to remember something and suddenly asked Anhe, “If you don’t mind, Anhe, why don’t you sleep with Hidame tonight?”
“No need, I’ll just sleep here in the living room,” Anhe smiled and politely declined.
Reina chimed in at that moment, “Yeah, Anhe can just sleep in the living room. Mom, don’t worry and get some rest yourself.”
Seeing her daughter insist, Sayuri gave a helpless smile, stood up, and said to Anhe, “Wait here a moment. I’ll get you some bedding.”
She turned and went to the bedroom. When she returned, she carried a quilt and pillow.
After laying them out, Sayuri bid everyone goodnight and went back to her room.
Just as the bedroom door closed, Reina eagerly approached Anhe, grabbing his arm excitedly.
“So, Anhe, want to sleep with me and Yui tonight? Sleeping on the sofa isn’t comfortable at all.”
“That’s quite the wolfish offer,” Anhe said, taken aback. Yui, who had been quiet until then, voiced her protest.
“Why does big sister want to sleep with Anhe-senpai but want me to come along too?”
Hearing that, Reina didn’t even hesitate before replying matter-of-factly, “Because if it’s just me, Anhe would probably try something secretly. But with Yui here, he’d behave himself out of consideration.”
She then looked to Anhe, blinking as if seeking confirmation.
“Am I right?”
“You wish,” Anhe said, rubbing her head firmly.
Before he could say more, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
[Consideration because someone else is there? You scoff at Reina’s naive notion. Clearly, she doesn’t realize that when someone is present, you don’t hold back; on the contrary, it excites you even more! Imagine, lying on the same bed, the sister enduring stomach pain, tears brimming in her eyes, biting her lip to avoid making a sound so her younger sister won’t notice…]
“…”
Anhe was momentarily at a loss for words.
Because, only a few days ago, he had experienced exactly that with Sayori Amamiya.

“But back then, that girl Saori probably wasn’t asleep; otherwise, she wouldn’t have held my hand,” Anhe thought, feeling somewhat less guilty.
Shaking his head, he pushed those thoughts aside and turned his serious gaze back to Reina.
“No weird thoughts tonight, alright? Get a good rest. The day after tomorrow is the start of school, and tomorrow’s your last day off.”
“Mm... got it,” Reina obediently replied, lowering her head to enjoy Anhe’s comforting hand rubbing her hair.
But soon, an idea seemed to strike her, and her eyes brightened.
“Since it’s still early, how about we play a game?”
“What game?”
Anhe raised an eyebrow, and Yui looked on curiously.
Feeling their attention, Reina puffed out her chest proudly and said distinctly, “Hide and Seek!”
“Forget it,” Anhe rolled his eyes, the first to pour cold water on the idea.
“Hey, hey, isn’t hide and seek fun?” Reina looked puzzled by his reaction.
Seeing this, Yui sighed and pinched Reina’s chin, gently turning her face toward the bedroom.
“Dad and Mom are still sleeping. Do you want to wake them up playing hide and seek, silly sister?”
“Oh, right,” Reina nodded belatedly, remembering the adults at home.
She stuck out her tongue sheepishly and asked Anhe, “Then what should we play? Something quiet but fun.”
Before Anhe could answer, Yui beat him to it.
“How about telling stories?”
“Telling stories?” both Anhe and Reina echoed, turning toward Yui.
Feeling their gaze, Yui blushed but continued explaining.
“You know, telling stories. Anhe-senpai is good at that, right? If you tell the stories, it would be really interesting.”
“That’s true,” Anhe nodded.
He then began searching through his memory with the help of his [Memory Playback] ability for some good short stories.
“Forest of Fireflies,” “Eyes She Wears,” “I Want to Eat Your Pancreas,” “The Kind Sister-in-Law”...
He told several wonderful stories until Reina, unable to resist, eventually fell asleep on the sofa.
Under the flickering candlelight, the little girl’s sleeping face looked peaceful.
Her long eyelashes twitched slightly. Leaning closer, one could even see the fine fuzz on her plump, pale cheeks.
Her lips, soft and pink like cherry petals, parted slightly, occasionally making a faint murmur.
Anhe reached out and gently poked Reina’s cheek. Though his fingertip sank in, she remained asleep, deeply settled in slumber.
“I’ll take big sister to bed,” Yui softly suggested, yawning.
Her eyes were red, and traces of tears lingered at the corners—she had been moved to tears by the stories.
“That’s fine. Yui, you should get some rest too,” Anhe said, nodding.
He lifted his hand to stroke the little girl’s face, his thumb wiping away the remaining tears.
Yui blushed at his affectionate gesture but didn’t pull away, just looking down at her toes, unsure what to do.
Seeing her reaction, Anhe’s lips curved upward, but he didn’t push further. Instead, he withdrew his hand, bent down, and lifted Reina in a princess carry, heading to the other bedroom.
Inside, he laid Reina on the bed, helped remove her little white socks, then looked over at Yui, who was holding a phone to provide light.
“You should get some rest too,” he said quietly.
Yui nodded, but her gaze lingered momentarily on Anhe’s pocket.
If she wasn’t mistaken, Anhe had just put her sister’s socks into his pocket deliberately.
She recalled how he seemed to slip her panties into his pocket the last time they went to the bathroom.
That must have been on purpose, right?
Lost in thought, she suddenly felt a shadow in front of her.
Looking up, she saw Anhe standing before her.
“What are you thinking about?” he asked curiously, lifting the strands of hair falling by her ear.
They were very close, and Yui could clearly feel the warmth of his breath as he spoke, deepening the blush on her cheeks and making her head spin.
When Yui didn’t answer, Anhe didn’t press further.
Instead, he scooped her up in his arms, and amid her startled cry, laid her down on the bed.
He removed her white socks and pulled the covers over her.
Having done so, he turned to leave, but his hand was suddenly grabbed.
Turning, he saw Yui’s face flushed with shyness, her head turned away as if struggling before timidly whispering:
“Can… can I have a goodnight kiss?”
Anhe was momentarily stunned, then smiled softly.
“Of course.”
He placed his hands on either side of her head and gently leaned down to brush her warmly flushed forehead with a light kiss.
Just as he was about to straighten up, his eyes caught Yui’s big, sparkling eyes looking up at him.
In that instant, it was as if some uncontrollable valve had opened.
Anhe leaned down again, but this time, his lips found hers—soft, pink, and utterly enchanting.
The sounds continued for several minutes, until Reina flipped over on the sofa, and they finally parted.
In the dim light, a glistening tear slipped from Yui’s eyes, trailing down her cheek.
Anhe lifted a hand to wipe it away, his fingers still warm against her flushed face.
Yui noticed her own embarrassment, breathing heavily as she pulled the covers up to hide her rosy cheeks, leaving only her dark eyes visible.
Anhe saw through her intentions but didn’t stop her.
Instead, he rubbed her head gently and whispered, “Go to sleep early. See you tomorrow.”
“Mm-hmm,” Yui softly replied, pulling the covers fully over her face.
[Such a delicacy—why not savor it early? Given her personality and feelings for you, a little subtlety would easily win her over. Then you can bring Sayuri from the other bedroom, have both sisters hold her down, and then…]
The voice of the narrator suddenly sounded in his mind, but Anhe ignored it.
He went to Reina’s side and pressed a gentle kiss on her lips before leaving the bedroom.
Back in the living room, Anhe stretched lazily, washed his face briefly in the bathroom, and then lay down on the sofa.
The rain outside continued its rhythmic patter, not disturbing but strangely soothing.
Within moments, Anhe had fallen asleep.
***
Night had fallen.
The heavy rain had stopped at some unknown time.
The bedroom door quietly opened, and a graceful figure stepped into the living room.
Looking at the figure sleeping on the sofa, Sayuri’s cheerful afternoon expression had faded, replaced by a calm demeanor.
After a long pause, as if making a firm decision, she slowly took a step forward.
Anhe suddenly felt a weight on his waist and woke with a start, opening his eyes to see Sayuri sitting astride him.
In the dim moonlight, her attire was faintly visible.
A black lace nightgown, revealing glimpses of her creamy skin.
“Whoa—” Anhe gasped, his drowsy mind instantly alert.
He sat up sharply and pushed Sayuri away.
She fell back slightly but did not tumble off the sofa, as Anhe controlled his strength.
After a brief moment of surprise, Sayuri’s face softened into a gentle smile.
Propping herself up on her elbow, she traced Anhe’s thigh with her toes and asked coyly:
“What are you doing, Anhe?”
“I think I should be asking you that, Auntie,” Anhe grumbled, sitting up fully.
“What’s wrong?” Sayuri gave an innocent look and sat cross-legged, fixating on Anhe with curiosity.
“Don’t you like this?” she asked.
Anhe said nothing, instead frowning and locking eyes with her.
Sayuri met his gaze without hesitation.
After a long pause, Anhe sighed, picked up his clothes from the sofa, and headed toward the entrance, waving as he spoke:
“I get your point, Auntie. Don’t worry, though I’m lecherous, my feelings for Yui and Reina are genuine. No need for tests. And tonight’s incident—I’ll pretend it never happened.”
With that, he reached the door and began changing his shoes.
Sayuri watched quietly from the sofa without stopping him.
Only after Anhe left did her seductive expression fade.
“Let’s hope so,” she murmured to herself, sighing as she returned to her bedroom.
In truth, as Anhe suspected, this was only a test.
From her youngest daughter’s behavior that afternoon, Sayuri had already seen that Anhe was liked by both Reina and Yui.
As their mother, the only way she could think of to assess the man her daughters admired was to test his reliability.
If Anhe had lost control tonight, she would have reported him for assault without hesitation.
But judging by the outcome, things turned out better than expected.
Thinking this, a look of relief spread across Sayuri’s face.
