“Be the father of your child?”
“That’s right.”
Nobue Ito nodded. Seeing Anhe’s perplexed expression, she sighed and explained, “My family cut off my financial support, and I won’t get my salary for another month.”
“What does that have to do with being your child’s father?”
Anhe couldn’t understand.
At his question, Nobue’s cheeks flushed slightly. She turned her head away from him, embarrassment coloring her tone. “Since I didn’t have enough money, I thought about calling home to negotiate again. But Sari’s voice was heard on the call, and my father asked who it was. Suddenly, I had an idea and said she was my daughter…”
“Uh…”
Anhe was taken aback, tentatively asking, “So, you want to use this to trick your family into giving you money?”
“What nonsense!”
Nobue’s eyes flashed, clearly displeased. “How can you call it tricking? It’s family money!”
Anhe’s lips twitched; he decided not to argue with her about whether it was deceit, and instead asked, “Your family believes you that easily?”
“Of course not.”
Nobue sighed, ripped open an Alpine candy wrapper and popped the sweet into her mouth. While savoring the sweetness that blossomed on her tongue, she spoke indistinctly, “They only heard Sari’s voice, so they weren’t fully convinced. But I plan to send them some photos of Sari.”
At this, Nobue looked at Anhe again, her big eyes blinking expectantly.
Anhe ignored her eager gaze, instead frowning as he asked, “Did you ask Sari and Mrs. Kurorai for their opinion?”
“Of course!”
Nobue fished out her phone from the pocket of her lab coat and placed it on the table.
“I talked to Mrs. Kurorai yesterday. She said as long as Sari agrees, she agrees. The only condition is that Sari’s face mustn’t be shown.”
Anhe nodded, but his gaze at Nobue grew stranger. After a long pause, he spoke,
“So, you want me to play Sari’s father?”
“That’s right. All you need to do is come with Sari and me, take a few photos, and don’t worry—you won’t have to show your face either. When the time comes, you just need to…”
Nobue wore a self-satisfied expression as if she had thought everything through, but she failed to notice that Anhe’s face was darkening by the second.
“Enough, enough.”
Anhe interrupted her. Seeing her glance over, he resignedly rubbed his forehead.
“Have you considered the age issue, Nobue? I’m only nine years older than Sari.”
“So what?”
Nobue waved dismissively.
“Relax, as long as you don’t show your face, nobody will know how old you are.”
As she spoke, her gaze drifted downward, her eyes curving in amusement, and she added meaningfully, “Except for that part, of course.”
Noticing her look, Anhe’s mouth twitched. He instinctively crossed his legs, complaining, “Why are you making suggestive jokes in broad daylight?”
Nobue blinked, then suddenly pulled her lab coat and inner clothes halfway down, revealing a pale shoulder and a black strap. She took out her lollipop and held it out to Anhe, raising her brow provocatively. “Then how about tonight?”
“All right.”

Without hesitation, Anhe nodded and stood up, reaching for Nobue, only for her to lean back and dodge.
“I was joking.”
She laughed lightly and pulled her clothes back up, looking at Anhe with playful mischief. But he didn’t mind; instead, he picked up the jar of red dates on the table.
“Text me the details.”
With that, Anhe turned to leave, but after only a few steps, he suddenly came back. While Nobue looked on in confusion, he snatched the lollipop from her hand and popped it into his mouth.
“Consider this interest. I’ll be expecting payment later.”
Having done this, Anhe gave Nobue a triumphant raise of his eyebrows before turning to leave.
With a “bang,” the office door closed.
Silence descended.
Nobue stared blankly at her empty hand, recalling what just happened. Her face flushed deeply, and she muttered softly,
“That little rascal, couldn’t even leave me one stick.”

Elsewhere,
Leaving the office, Anhe intended to go to the convenience store to buy a thermos. But before he could take two steps, the narration in his mind suddenly spoke up,
“A group of reckless fools, daring to covet the princess? Your eyes flashed coldly, and you immediately began constructing an alibi worthy of eight hundred episodes of Detective Conan.”
What the hell?
Anhe was stunned. His first thought was of Sawu Amamiya, and he quickly pulled out his phone to call her. It connected almost immediately.
“Moshi moshi?”
Sawu Amamiya’s voice came through, sounding completely normal.
Anhe asked a few questions and, seeing nothing was wrong, hung up. He then texted Saori Amamiya, telling her to keep an eye on Sawu.
After all this, Anhe was about to call Nadeshiko Kurorai when he noticed two familiar figures hurrying past him.
Could it be…
Thinking of a certain possibility, Anhe quickened his pace and soon arrived at his classroom door.
Looking inside, he saw in the corner—
Rena Serizawa was still lying on her desk, eyes closed, asleep. But now, seven or eight boys surrounded her.
They were all classmates, but at that moment, they were laughing, scribbling with paint markers all over Rena’s desk, and some even drew on her clothes.
“Kimura, check out my Bixi drawing.”
One boy proudly pointed to his drawing, but the other scoffed and dismissed it,
“That’s just a turtle.”
He pointed at Rena’s pale face.
“Watch, I’ll show you what a real Bixi looks like!”
“Really?”
The first boy’s eyes lit up, and the others paused, curious to see Kimura in action.
Basking in admiring glances, Kimura prepared to draw, but a male voice spoke from behind,
“Can I draw, too?”
Kimura instinctively turned around, expecting another friend, but instead saw a hand coming at him fast.
Smack!
The crisp sound of a slap echoed through the classroom.
Kimura fell to the floor, clutching his swollen cheek. For a moment, he couldn’t react, until the pain registered, and he cried out,
“My face!”
His cry broke the silence, and his accomplices quickly realized what had happened. A slightly chubby boy rolled up his sleeves, kicked toward Anhe, and cursed,
“You bastard, Anhe, are you looking for trouble—”
But before he could finish, Anhe dodged the kick, turned, and delivered a perfect spinning roundhouse kick.
Whoosh!
His foot traced an arc through the air, the sole landing squarely on the boy’s back, cutting off his words and sending him stumbling forward before collapsing.
The scene unfolded so quickly that before anyone could react, Anhe had already withdrawn his leg.
Silence fell again, but soon screams echoed throughout the classroom.
About half a minute later, an urgent female voice called from the door,
“Hey, Anhe, stop right there!”
Anhe, about to deal with the last culprit, looked back to see Nobue Ito storming over, followed by Keiko Kitajima and Ryosuke Kazuhara, dressed in overalls.
“Thank… thank goodness!”
The last boy breathed a sigh of relief, seeing the teacher arrive. But in the next moment, Anhe kicked him squarely in the stomach.
“Ugh…”
The boy clutched his stomach, slowly crouching down, his face contorted in pain.
Nobue Ito, hurrying over, frowned at the sight. As she passed the fallen chubby student, she stepped on him without hesitation, even pressing down harder.
“Ah—”
The pain from her high heels made the chubby boy cry out again.
Anhe raised an eyebrow and walked over to Rena Serizawa’s desk.
He hadn’t paid much attention before, but now, looking closely, he saw her body trembling slightly, tears streaking her face.
“You’ve been awake for a while, haven’t you?”
Anhe gently stroked her cheek, and she immediately opened her watery eyes, looking at him with aggrieved innocence.
