Xie Xu wore an innocent expression as he addressed Gu Zifan, "Classmate, you're sitting in my seat."

Gu Zifan looked at Xie Xu, then at Lu Yiqi, and finally shifted his gaze back to Xie Xu. Whether it was because he was genuinely intimidated by this young master of the Xie family or for some other reason, Gu Zifan stood up from the seat timidly to make room for Xie Xu, stammering, "Sorry, I didn't know someone was sitting here."

"Oh, it's fine," Xie Xu said airily, placing a can of Wangzai milk he was holding onto Lu Yiqi’s desk. "Here, your milk, girlfriend."

When the word "girlfriend" slipped out, Lu Yiqi’s pupils dilated, and she stared at Xie Xu in disbelief.

What girlfriend?! What nonsense was this guy spouting?!

Before Lu Yiqi could recover from his remark, Xie Xu continued, "Why are you looking at me like that? Didn't you ask me to go buy you milk? Besides, just because I wasn't here, does that mean you can talk to other boys, hmm?"

As he said the last part, Xie Xu cast a sideways glance at Gu Zifan.

It was a light, casual look, yet Gu Zifan felt a sharp, dangerous chill. When he heard Xie Xu call Lu Yiqi his girlfriend, Gu Zifan had been stunned. They hadn't been a couple when they last met—was Xie Xu really that fast?

Regardless, he wouldn't dare try to steal Xie Xu's girlfriend, not even if he were given a hundred times his courage.

Gu Zifan lowered his eyes and said weakly, "Sorry to bother you..."

Then, he left.

Having perfectly dealt with his romantic rival, Xie Xu returned to his seat in high spirits.

Lu Yiqi seized the moment to fire off a barrage of questions: "What girlfriend? When did I become your girlfriend? And when did I ask you to buy me Wangzai milk? I wanted a cola! An ice-cold cola!"

Xie Xu replied with calm composure, "Drinking too much cola causes osteoporosis, and it’ll make you gain weight."
